Welcome to Mitzvah Tracker (“we,” “our,” “us”). These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our app and website (mitzvahtracker.com). By using Mitzvah Tracker, you agree to these Terms

1. Purpose of the App

Mitzvah Tracker is designed to help users:

  • See mitzvot that apply daily, weekly, or by parsha
  • Track progress and streaks
  • Stay motivated with notifications and reminders
  • Record life events and transitions that affect mitzvah obligations

Important: Mitzvah Tracker is an educational and motivational tool. It is not a halachic authority. For religious rulings, always consult a qualified rabbi.

2. Eligibility

  • Jewish tradition teaches that mitzvot apply from the earliest moments of life, with parents guiding children in performing them. Therefore, the app may be used by minors with the guidance and consent of a parent or guardian.
  • By creating an account for a child, the parent/guardian takes full responsibility for providing and managing the child’s profile, including personal attributes and life events.
  • Teens 12 and older may create and manage their own accounts independently.

3. Your Responsibilities

When using Mitzvah Tracker, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information in your profile and life events (e.g., marriage, birth of children, relatives alive, roles such as Kohen, Levi, judge, farmer, etc.).
  • Use the app for personal, family, or educational purposes.
  • Not misuse, copy, or resell the app or its content.
  • Not attempt to hack, reverse engineer, or disrupt our systems.

4. Account & Security

  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
  • Parents/guardians are responsible for accounts created for children.
  • We use encryption for storedand transmitted data to protect your information.

5. Privacy

Your use of Mitzvah Tracker is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review it to understand how we handle your data.

6. Notifications & Reminders

  • You may receive reminders for mitzvot, parshiyot, or events.
  • You can control or disable notifications in your settings.
  • We are not responsible if you miss a mitzvah or event due to device issues, connectivity, or settings.

7. Intellectual Property

  • All logos, designs, and app content are owned by Mitzvah Tracker.
  • The mitzvah data, including rich explanations, parsha connections, commentary, and personalized content, is proprietary.
  • You may not reproduce, copy, translate, or distribute mitzvah lists, detailed commentary, or personalized mitzvah data generated by the app, whether for commercial or non-commercial use, without written permission.
  • You may not create derivative apps, products, or publications that reproduce or compete with the app’s mitzvah framework or data.
  • Torah texts and translations included in the app remain the property of their original publishers and copyright holders, and are used under fair use or license.

8. Limitation of Liability

Mitzvah Tracker is provided “as is.” We do not guarantee:

  • That the app will always function without error or interruption.
  • That the mitzvah lists are complete or halachically exhaustive.

We are not liable for:

  • Any spiritual, religious, or halachic outcome of using (or not using) the app.
  • Any damages resulting from app errors, outages, or misuse.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you:

  • Violate these Terms
  • Misuse the app or abuse other users
  • Engage in activity that threatens security or integrity

You may delete your account at any time in settings.

10. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are significant, we will notify you in the app or via email.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles.
